Starfinder – Episode One

Episode One – Escaping From Captivity

Starfinder has finally arrived! Our group didn’t hesitate to start-up a new campaign and dove right into a Sci-Fi world. So allow me to welcome you to Starfinder: Session One – Escaping Captivity.

For anyone that doesn’t know, Starfinder is a Role-Playing Game published by Paizo, set countless years into the future of their Pathfinder Setting. It’s a world were Fantasy & Science Fiction are blended together to offer an interesting game world for fans of both genres.

In our first game, our players find themselves waking up, in a mysterious room. Blinded, confused and unsure how they ended up in there. Able to easily get out of their rooms, they run into guards and each other in corridors that seem similar every way they go. Through some grit, luck and one bloody corridor; the players attempt to figure out what happened and find a way out of their current situation.

Will they? Did they? You’ll have to listen to find out!

With this being our first session playing a new RPG, I did my best to keep it light, quick, and fast paced. Marking down rule questions that came up so I could look them  over later. We had a few bog down moments when the rules were important and needed to be solved then. But that is the nature of any new game.

We were also two players short for our first night due to personal life stuff. But they should be joining us next session!

Right now the players are:

Paul: Cordin Drex – An Icon (Bounty Hunter) Vesk Soldier
Isaac: Reepichep – An Outlaw Operative Ysoki
Chris: Jaghor – A Spacefarer Vesk Mechanic
Aaron Winemiller: The Story Dude

Hopefully next week we’ll have some proper background stories from the players and I’ll be able to add them as well.

See you next week!

Warning: We use naughty words in our game sessions. Sometimes often, sometimes not.
